What does wholesale mean to Bumbleroot?
The goal of our wholesale tuber program is to offer cut flower growers a discount for bulk orders of high quality tubers. We want to make it easier for growers to access high quality dahlia tubers at reasonable prices!
Why, you ask? On our farm, we’ve been disappointed by the quality of tubers we’ve received from distributors in the past, and have found it difficult to meet their minimums— we know how these factors can impact a growing season. We’ve also struggled to find affordable options for some the of the specialty varieties we’d like to produce. We aim to provide a middle ground that addresses the gap in the market between retail pricing and distributors who only sell in larger volumes with high minimum orders. All tubers found on this page are listed in lots of 20 at 50% off our retail price.
We’re excited to offer this new-to-us approach, and hope that it will work for cut flower growers who operate at a similar scale to ours! We hold ourselves to the highest standards, starting with our growing practices, to digging, dividing, storage and shipping and we guarantee that each tuber we send out the door will have a viable eye.
